CHICAGO (AP) — The next big court date in former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s corruption case comes Wednesday when one of his top aides may plead guilty.

John Harris, Blagojevich’s former chief of staff, is due in court and his attorney says he may change his not guilty plea to guilty.

Harris is charged with scheming with Blagojevich to use the power of the governor’s office to pressure people for campaign contributions.

But he has been cooperating with prosecutors for months. Any written plea agreement he makes with the government is guaranteed to be scanned by court watchers for details of the political scandal that have been hidden up to now.
