Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Audrey) Kaufman of Morris recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Donald Kaufman and the former Audrey Faletti were married on June 13, 1959, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Spring Valley, Ill. by the Rev. Koloman Kassovic, pastor.

They are the parents of seven children, Michelle (Rickie) Stewart of Morris, Karen (John) Zelko of Morris, Ann (Greg) Adkins of Roanoke, Janet (Steve) Severson of Manhattan, Barbara (Gordon) Tompkinson of Bolingbrook, Phillip (Jennifer) of Gainesville, Fla., and Douglas (Elizabeth) of Channahon.

They have 15 grandchildren, Paul, Brandon, and Nathan Stewart, Jennifer, John, and Trent Zelko, Amber (Adam) Brown, Alyssa Adkins, Tyler, Alex and Mitchell Severson, Gordon and Caleb Tompkinson, and Madison and Grant Kaufman. They also have two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Emmersyn Brown.

Don was formerly director of the Grundy Area Vocational Center and Grundy County Board Chairman.

Audrey is a retired teacher. In honor of the occasion, the family had a joint vacation in Wisconsin that included a family dinner there and also one in Illinois.

Don and Audrey also celebrated with a trip to Hawaii in February.
