Coal City Intermediate School held a Camp Invention for the first time last week. The Camp teaches creative thinking and science skills to students.

In one exercise, students build roller coaster rides for marbles. Another teaches them about thrust and lift when they are challenged to build a space ship. All the stages of the camp encourage eco-friendly thinking - reusing and recycling materials.

On Thursday their project was to build a machine that launched a ball into the air.
