Ghost hunters charged with trespassing at cemetery

FIVE PEOPLE, including a juvenile, were cited for trespassing at the Aux Sable Cemetery about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23.

Deputy Kenneth Unland said he found the five people in the cemetery, who said the cemetery was haunted and they were looking for ghosts.

The deputy pointed out several signs which indicated the cemetery was closed.

Ticketed for trespassing were Mitchell Lieberstein, 18, Naperville, Mehul Amin, 20, Worth, John Yurkovic, 18, Plainfield, and Nicholas Kinman, 18, Plainfield. They were given Aug. 17 court dates.

The juvenile was released to a parent and a petition will be sought.
