A man injured while driving a borrowed motorcycle, filed suit in circuit court last Friday, Aug. 21, seeking damages.

Jeremy Newcombe filed the suit against Eric Hofer, who loaned Newcombe his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The complaint charged on March 15, 2009, Hofer knew Newcombe did not have a license to drive a motorcycle, had never taken a course and had very little experience driving a motorcycle.

Newcombe, while driving the motorcycle on Bluff Road in Seneca, went over a guardrail and down a ravine, suffering serious injuries.

The complaint charged Hofer knew Newcombe was not qualified to drive the motorcycle and should pay damages for his injuries.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers
