Rodgerses wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Darrol Rodgers of Seneca will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 17, 2009.

Darrol Rodgers and the former Donna Maier were married in 1959 at St. Patrick’s Church in Seneca.

Parents of the couple are the late Art and Laura Rodgers and Parnell and Anna Maier. They are the parents of Denise (Steve) Olsen of Inverness, Fla. and Sheila (Jim) Kavanaugh of Joliet.

Darrol retired from Atlantic Richfield and Donna from First Midwest Bank in Seneca.

The couple celebrated the special occasion with a week in the Smoky Mountains, a gift from their children.
