Deputy finds marijuana during traffic stop

A DRIVER was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, on Illinois 129, near Kankakee Road.

Ryan McClanahan, 20, 505 Carey, Braceville, was given a Nov. 2 court date.

Deputy Brett Black reported he saw a vehicle being driven south on Illinois 129 with no license plate light.

After stopping the vehicle, the deputy reported he spoke with McClanahan, who admitted having marijuana in the console. About 2.3 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe were found in the console.
