Swisher, Hochstatter marry in Mendota, Ill.

Couple share vows June 27 at St. John’s

Sami Swisher and Brett Hochstatter, both of Ottawa, united in marriage on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mendota.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Diane Swisher of West Brooklyn. The groom is the son of Dan and Deb Hochstatter of Mendota.

Sarah Waido, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mallory Hochstatter, sister of groom; Beth Menke, friend of bride; Kelly Putlak, friend of bride; and Rachel Klein, friend of bride.

Greg Law, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Schultz, Brian Winters, Miles Truckenbrod, Nate Radean, all friends of the groom.

Bob Swisher and Nick Swisher, brothers of the bride, were the ushers.

A reception was held at Hickory Grove Banquet Center in Rochelle, Ill.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico for one week.

Sami is a 2002 graduate of Mendota High School. She graduated in 2006 from Western Illinois University.

She is employed as a kindergarten teacher through Morris School District 54 at White Oak Elementary School.

Brett is a 2002 graduate of Mendota High School. He graduated in 2006 from Western Illinois University.
Brett is employed at Doors Unlimited in Mendota.

The couple reside in Ottawa.
