A SEMI-TRUCK collided with a pickup pulling a livestock trailer about 10:55 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Illinois 47 and Nelson Road.

Nicholas Foley, 39, 207 Odell St., Gardner, was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was given a Nov. 25 court date.

Deputy Michael James reported Foley was hauling gravel in a Peterbilt truck, southbound on Illinois 47.

Ronald Severson, 61, 2770 Gore Road, was driving a GMC truck and pulling a livestock trailer southbound on Illinois 47, when he slowed prior to turning right to go west on Nelson Road.

Foley failed to stop and collided with the trailer, pushing it into the rear of the truck.
