OTTAWA — Mrs. DeAnn M. Krebs, 68, of Ottawa, died Thursday morning, Oct. 29, 2009, at Ottawa Regional Hospital & Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Garry Briesacher, pastor and the Rev. Chris Schoon officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Born Sept. 18, 1941, in Holdrege, Neb., Mrs. Krebs was the daughter of LeRoy and Sharon (Timmons) Aden. She married Gerald M. Krebs on May 1, 1960, in Seneca.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Clara Naomi Circle and the YMCA. She worked at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet as a nurses aid, as a basket weaver at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo., and at the Ottawa Pavilion as an aide for seven years.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Krebs, of Ottawa; one daughter, Gwen Ann (Dwain) Lambert of Lake City, Minn.; and one son, Kevin (Kerry) Krebs of Channahon; four grandchildren, Jimmy and Sean Krebs, Kirsten and Stephen Lambert; a brother, Douglas (Dorothy) Nickerson of Grand Ridge; two sisters, Donna (Dave Steen) Wright of Joliet and Pam (Larry) Mikulich of Seneca.

She was preceded in death by her parents and adoptive father, Howard “Bud” Nickerson, and one brother, Nels Nickerson.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Krebs, Dwain and Stephen Lambert, Doug Nickerson, Kent Chalus, Derek Reeve and Tony Wright.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Stroke Unit at St. Francis or the Ottawa Fire Department.
