Geno Angelo's employee ticketed for selling to minors

Only one ticket was issued Thursday, Oct. 22, when Illinois State Police checked 20 establishments in Channahon and Minooka for illegal liquor sales to minors.

Susan Emmert of Minooka, from Geno Angelo's Pizza and Pub in Minooka, was ticketed for selling liquor to a minor.

Illinois State Police Zone 3 Investigations conducted the Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) surveys during the evening hours of Thursday, Oct. 22, at establishments that serve or sell alcohol.

Establishments in Channahon found to be in compliance were Channahon Lanes, Lallos Bar and Grill, Mugz's Hideout, Ivo's Express, Road House on 6, USA Liquors, Casey's General Store, and Rt. 6 Liquors.

In Minooka, Osco Drug, Pilot Travel Center, Cookies, Fat Boyz Pizza, Schooner's Pub, 7-Eleven, Casey's, CD Liquors, Jewel Express, and the Minooka Amoco were in compliance.

The ACE surveys are funded by a grant from the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Administration.They are part of the "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose," campaign and administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
