LOCKPORT — Mrs. Theresa E. Ford, 57, of Lockport, formerly of Wilmington and LaGrange, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at The Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born Jan. 17, 1952, in Joliet, she was the daughter of Turner and Mary (Van Duyne) Turan of Wilmington.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1994 and a brother, Steven Turan, in 1999.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Nicole) Ford of Coal City and David (Kata) Ford of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; two granddaughters, Ariana and Alissa; her mother; three sisters, Susan (Jim) Stanley, Christine (Thom) Cochran and Doris (George) Ragain; her fiancee, Wayne Sansome; and former husband, Richard Ford; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Theresa was associated with Advocate Christ Charitable Foundation (Christ Hospital Oak Lawn), where she achieved great success for which she was very proud. In May 2009, the family gathering room at the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn was named in her honor.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at the Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, from the funeral home to St. Rose Catholic Church Wilmington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. The service will be Con-celebrated by Fathers Steven Bondi and Mark Fraccaro with Deacon Donald Dyer officiating.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Hope Children’s Hospital Oak Lawn, Ronald McDonald House Oak Lawn or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
