A BOLINGBROOK woman was charged with reckless driving in a complaint signed about noon Tuesday along Higgins Road.

Megan Myers, 20, Bolingbrook, was charged in a complaint signed by Tiffany Biros, Spring Road, Mazon.

Myers posted $200 bond and was given a Nov. 23 court date.

Deputy Paul Clampitt reported he was called to Higgins Road, where he located Biros. She told the deputy that, while westbound on Spring Road, the driver of a black GTO with temporary Wisconsin plates, northbound on Tynan Road, ran the stop sign and turned left in front of her.

Biros said she was forced to go into the ditch to avoid a collision. Biros said she drove out of the ditch and followed the car to Higgins Road, where the woman drove into a field. She then got into a semi-trailer and a man drove the truck northbound on Higgins Road.

Deputy Clampitt reported he stopped the truck on Higgins Road. Myers agreed to return to her car.

Biros identified Myers as the driver and signed a reckless driving complaint against her.

MLB preview: Kansas City Royals

The Royals have enough young talent to make them the team most likely to stop the Tigers from ruling the AL Central for the next few years. But they're a year, or more, away.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers

Even with Prince Fielder, Detroit may have only the sixth-best roster in the American League in my book (maybe the seventh if the Blue Jays really put it together). In the Central, that is plenty to be the favorite.
