WGGS to hold holiday potluck

The Will/Grundy Genealogical Society will hold its annual Holiday Potluck Luncheon and Silent Auction on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Coal City Public Library, 85 N. Garfield St., Coal City, beginning at 1 p.m.

The society will provide two meat entrees, rolls and beverage. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass as follows: last names beginning F-L, a dessert; M-T, a salad; U-B, a hot vegetable (includes potatoes); and C-E, a veggie, relish or fruit tray.

Members are encouraged to bring items to auction, such as books, tapes, office supplies, home decor, etc. There will be an opportunity to view the auction offerings and make bids before and during lunch.

After lunch, lucky bidders will receive their purchases and enjoy time to socialize. A brief business meeting will follow.

Meetings of the Will/Grundy Genealogical Society are open to the public.
