A WOMAN involved in an accident at Daley and Division streets in Diamond about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, was charged with DUI.

Donna Reynolds, 56, 388 E. Main, Braidwood, was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving in the wrong lane. She posted $100 and her driver's license. She was given a Nov. 30 court date.

Deputy Josh Slattery reported Charles Kuchar, 58, W. Illinois 113, Custer Park, was northbound on Daley Street, when he stopped prior to turning to go east on Division Street.

Reynolds was eastbound on Division Street when she attempted to turn to go south on Daley Street.

Kuchar told the deputy that, in making the turn, Reynolds ran into the front of his PT Cruiser.

Deputy Slattery reported Reynolds smelled of liquor and admitted she had been drinking. She failed the field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI. At the county jail, she refused to take the Breathalyzer test.

MLB preview: Cleveland Indians

Remember when the Indians came out of nowhere and competed in their division last season? I have a feeling that will be a lot more forgettable once 2012 is a few months old.

I'm starting the blog's annual baseball series here because of the alphabet, not to pick on the Sox. Just wait until I get to the Cubs, Sox fans.
