A 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was ordered forfeited Monday when the owner failed to appear in circuit court.

Richard Childers, 45, of Joliet, was arrested Aug. 27, 2008, for DUI and driving with a suspended license by Minooka police on Minooka Road.

On Sept. 15, 2008, the state's attorney's office filed a petition to forfeit the vehicle.

When Childers failed to answer the petition or appear in court, he was defaulted and the car forfeited.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers
