A WARNING was issued, but no tickets given, following an accident at Lisbon and Bedford Roads about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Driver Andrew Bordner, 17, 3635 Pine Meadow, complained of an injury but refused treatment.

Officer Scott Ator reported Bordner was driving a Mustang eastbound on Bedford Road. He stopped prior to turning left to go north on Lisbon Road.

Bordner told police the light turned red so he thought westbound traffic would stop and attempted to turn.

Dylan Joyce, 18, Ottawa, was westbound on Bedford Road. When Bordner attempted to turn, the vehicles collided.

Joyce and a witness told police the light was green for westbound traffic.

Bordner was given a warning for failure to yield.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers

Even with Prince Fielder, Detroit may have only the sixth-best roster in the American League in my book (maybe the seventh if the Blue Jays really put it together). In the Central, that is plenty to be the favorite.
