Driver cited after striking stopped SUV from behind

A DRIVER was ticketed for failure to reduce speed after an accident on Illinois 113 in Diamond about 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Kevin Sarna, 22, 847 Center, Braidwood, was ticketed after he collided with the rear of a Trailblazer driven by David Sears, 37, Wilmington.

Deputy Michael James reported Sears was eastbound on Illinois 113, west of  Redmond, when he stopped prior to turning left into the driveway at 1840 E. Division Street.

Sarna was also eastbound and failed to stop in time to avoid the collision.
