MINOOKA — Mr. William Graffeo, of Minooka, formerly of Palos Heights, Ill., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.

Born in Sicily, William was the son of Pasquale and Vincenza Graffeo.

William was the beloved husband of 48 years to Joyce (McManus) Graffeo; the loving father of William (Laura), Cathy (Tom) Sadowsky, Joyce (Robert) Hahn, Bob (Jackie) Graffeo and Joe (Joy) Graffeo; affectionate papa of Robbie, Tommy, Allie, Marykate, Amanda, Franchesca, Rachel, Breanna, Cora, Josh, Gabriella, Morgan, Josie, Mae, Wil and Addie; the devoted brother of Andrea (Maria) Graffeo and Antonina Graffeo; dear brother-in-law of theMcManus, D'Angelo, Craven and Miller familes; beloved uncle of Virgina (the late Patrick) Hackett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, both here and in Italy.

Many friends who he considered his family are also left to cherish his memory.

William was preceded in death by his parents; his cherished brother, Emanuel (Mary) Graffeo; dear sister, Concetta (Pino) Cali; and precious niece, Mary Graffeo.

Funeral services for William Graffeo will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at The Maple Funeral Home to St. Mary Catholic Church in Minooka for a Mass of Christian Bural at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Minooka.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Mary "Seed of Faith" Fund or the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at The Maple Funeral Home, 24300 S. Ford Road, Channahon.
