Sheridan man dies after vehicle strike utility pole

LA SALLE COUNTY authorities are investigating an accident which took the life of a Sheridan man about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Patrick Casner, 24, Sheridan, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the La Salle County coroner’s office.
La Salle deputies reported Casner was driving on E. 29th Road, near N. 44th Road in Northville Township when his vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole. The impact with the pole caused Casner to be thrown from the vehicle.
The collision snapped the pole and knocked out power to residents in the area.
