Jo Anne McClenning, 67, of Morris, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 23, 2009, at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Fr. James L. Steele officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., Morris.

Born Feb. 9, 1942, in Morris, Jo Anne was the daughter of L. Ernest and Catherine (Dolan) Osmundson. She graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1960. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.

She married Marcus Dee McClenning on July 16, 1960, at the First United Methodist Church in Morris. They lived all of their married life in Morris. She was a librarian for several years at Aux Sable Middle School in Plainfield.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew (Christina) McClenning of Coal City and Mark McClenning of Morris; one daughter, Sara (Jason Wilson) McClenning of Lockport; four grandchildren, Riley, Jayne and Maddyson McClenning and Kelly Toy; one brother, Gerald (Bonnie) Osmundson of Wittmann, Ariz.; one sister, Kathleen (James) Carey of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 4, 2004; and two brothers, Richard and John Osmundson.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, N.E.A. and Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society.
