MINOOKA, Ill. – Mr. David L. Allen, 57, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at his residence in Minooka, Ill.

Mr. Allen was born in Warrenton, Mo., the son of Elizabeth Darlene and the late Emitt Wesley Allen.

He was the beloved husband of 32 years to Sharon (Fatlan) Allen; devoted father of Timothy (Christine) Allen, Michael Allen and Nicholas (Tiffany) Allen; proud grandfather of Matthew, Angela, Madison, Olivia and Jaxon; dear brother of Ronald, Benjamin (Jan), Roger, and Stanley (Nikki) Allen; and fond son-in-law of Glenn and Sally Fatlan.

Mr. Allen is also leaving to cherish his memory numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Carl Wayne.

Mr. Allen retired after 30+ rewarding years in the trucking industry. He was a boating enthusiast and left precious memories for family and friends as he shared his love of music with them singing karaoke.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at The Maple Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Jankowski officiating. Interment will be private.

Visitation will be from Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for later disbursement.
