Mr. Michael J. Larkin, 30, of Morris, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Aug. 23, 1979, in Joliet, Michael was the son of Bernard and the late Mary (Feeney) Larkin. Mike was raised in Minooka on the family farm. He was a graduate of Minooka Community High School.

He is survived by his father, Bernard (Ginger) Larkin of Morris; his brothers and sisters, Ronald (Kim) Larkin of Minooka, Laureen (Isen) Balazi of Mahomet, Ill., Sharon (Doug) Scott of Andover, Kansas, James Larkin of Morris and his twin brother, Timothy Larkin of Minooka.

He was a proud and devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend, Angela Gall of Shorewood.

Mike was employed in fertilizer production with Hintzsche Grain and the former Ty-Walk, Inc. He loved to farm and would consider himself a lifelong farmer. He also enjoyed fishing.

Funeral services for Michael will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday Dec. 12, 2009,  from the funeral home to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Pall Bearers will be Jimmy, Justin and Jeremy Larkin; Brandon, Brian and Trent Balazi; Eric Sitzes and Donald Larkin, Jr.

Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Minooka.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. U.S. 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris.
