Passenger injured in accident files lawsuit

A woman passenger injured in an accident in Coal City has filed suit in circuit court.

Melanie Touvelle of Braidwood filed the suit against Helen Joyce of Coal City, seeking damages for her injuries.

The complaint charged on May 7, 2009, Touvelle was a passenger in a car driven northbound on Broadway by Michael Noramczyk. Joyce was southbound on Broadway and attempted to turn left at Chestnut.

When Joyce turned, the vehicles collided and Touvelle was thrown out.
