Ms. Marian E. Moloney, 85, of Morris, Ill., passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2009, at Walnut Grove Healthcare Center in Morris.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., Morris, with Fr. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Wednesday.

Born March 29, 1924, in Morris, she was the daughter of Edward and Flora (Wagner) Moloney. She graduated from Morris High School with the Class of 1942 and Galagher Business School in Kankakee.

She was employed as secretary for Morris Elementary School Dist. 54 schools for 35 years, from 1950 to 1985. She was secretary for Center, Garfield, Lincoln, McKinley and Franklin schools.

In January 1971, Ms. Moloney became secretary for Shabbona Middle School, where she remained until her retirement in 1985.

Surviving are her sister, Agnes Moloney of Albuquerque, N.M., and cousins Judy Warrick of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Janet (Timothy) Beck of Morris, K.C. (Jeff) Faetz of Lake Zurich, and Tad (Dan) Timms of Libertyville.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Robert E. Moloney, on May 14, 2004.

Ms. Moloney was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris.

Preferred memorials are gifts in Ms. Moloney’s name to Immaculate Conception Church.
