MORRIS POLICE investigated a three-car accident in the 800 block of Bedford Road about 2:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.

Officer Tracey Steffes reported Brandy Malone, 28, 1719 Schubert Dr., and Bradley Schmitt, 38, 1770 Schubert Drive, were westbound on Bedford Road when they stopped for another driver turning into Bedford Sales.

Omar Santana, 17, 1620 Edgewater, was driving a Neon westbound on Bedford Road and was unable to stop. The car skidded on the wet pavement and collided with the rear of the Honda driven by Schmitt, pushing it into the rear of Malone's Neon.

Santana was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and not having a valid license

An ambulance was called to the scene to check the condition of Noah Malone, 7 months, who was a passenger in Brandy Malone's vehicle. He was cleared by paramedics, and no injuries were reported at the scene.
