A DUI charge against Steven Kommer, 26, 947 E. Washington St., was upgraded to a felony in circuit court Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Bond was continued at $300 cash and Public Defender Gary Dobbs was appointed to represent him.

Kommer was charged with DUI Jan. 23, 2010, near Bungalow and Dellos roads. The state's attorney's office upgraded the charge to a felony because Kommer's license was suspended at the time of the DUI arrest.

Kommer is to appear in court Feb. 18 on the felony charge.
