MORRIS POLICE investigated an accident by 1204 Division Street about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28.

Austin Szafranski, 27, Seneca, was northbound on Division Street, when the driver of a blue Dodge truck stopped suddenly in front of him, prior to turning left.

Szafranski reported he was able to stop behind the truck.

Kori Hart, 18, 185 E. Oak, Coal City, told police she attempted to stop, but collided with the rear of Szafranski's Chevrolet.

Officer Doris Noll reported the blue Dodge truck could not be located. Hart's Plymouth sustained extensive front end damage but was driven from the scene.
