Jeanne L. Lloyd
Jeanne L. Lloyd, 60, of Morris, formerly Mazon and Memphis, Tenn., passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Morris Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1949, in Morris, Jeanne is a daughter of Mary Male of Morris and the late Robert Leland Male. She was raised and educated in Mazon, and worked as a real estate agent in Morris for several years, prior to moving to Memphis. In Memphis, Jeanne was employed as a manager for Beale Street Merchants Association before returning to the Morris area.
Jeanne will be remembered for her love of music, dancing, sewing and fishing. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with her grandkids.
Survivors include five children, Eric (Linda) Melby of Morris, Jennifer (Jerry) Miller of Thompsonville, Ill., Tiffany (Chad) Larsen of Morris, Tara (Harold) Charles of Coal City and Lacey Melby of Morris; 18 grandchildren; her mother, Mary Male of Morris; and four siblings, Pam (Andy) Payne of Oklahoma, Bobbi (Peter) Brockman of Verona, Terry (Danette) Male of Wyoming and Rhonda (Jimmy) Rynearson of Mazon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Robert Leland Male, in 2009, and one brother, Robert Andrew Male, in infancy.
Visitation and video tribute will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois 113) in Coal City.
Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Perry officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pete Brockman, Patrick Melby, Brandon Kindelspire, Tyler Fink, Cody Fink and Andrew Faught will act as pallbearers.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jeanne’s memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
