Mrs. Mary F. Foster, 65, of Morris, passed away to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary was born in Detroit, Mich. She moved to Tennessee when she was a 7-year-old child, and she eventually met her husband there. She was an avid quilter and sewer. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved her flower garden. She faithfully prayed for friends, family, loved ones and missionaries that were on her prayer list. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Aubery D. Foster; four daughters, Robbie Purdy, W. Jane (John) Farcus, Sara Foster and Betty Foster; 15 grandchildren, Joel (Jill) Cockream, Amanda Farcus, John M. Farcus, Amber Cable, Joshua Farcus, Candice (Shane) Sennett, Ashlee Cortez, Jacob Farcus, Todd M. Purdy, Meagan Foster, Cody Betsworth, Dean Betsworth, Bradley Clark, Levi Clark and Tylor Clark; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Farcus, Anthony Farcus and John M. Farcus, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Birtie F. Rigsby-Shavez.

She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. U.S. 6, Morris.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, with Pastor Chappell officiating.

Interment will be at Sample Cemetery.
