Seneca man who pushed EMT, deputy gets probation

A Seneca man, who pushed an EMT and a deputy, was placed on probation for 30 months Tuesday when he appeared in circuit court and pleaded guilty to aggravated battery charges.

Matthew Wantroba, 23, 29th Road, Seneca, was charged June 13, 2009, with pushing EMT Dustin Campbell and Deputy Michael James.

In court Tuesday he was also sentenced to 12 days in the county jail, with credit for time served, fined $200, ordered to pay $20 per month in probation fees, undergo an evaluation and follow all recommendations, submit a DNA sample and pay the $200 fee.
