Two area drivers face DUI charges
GRUNDY COUNTY deputies arrested two drivers on DUI charges during the weekend.
Jacqueline Hambrick, 23, 884 E. Third, Coal City, was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday on Cedar Street in Gardner.
Deputy Brett Black reported he saw a Nissan being driven northbound on Center Street in Gardner without lights. He reported following the car to Pine Street, where the driver failed to stop at Jefferson Street, then went north on Cedar.
While on Cedar, Black reported the driver was partially off the street and going over piles of snow.
After stopping the car, Deputy Black reported Hambrick smelled of liquor and appeared intoxicated. She failed the field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.
At the jail, she submitted to the Breathalyzer test and registered .193 (.08 is legal intoxication).
Also ticketed for not having proof of insurance, Hambrick posted $100 and her driver’s license and was given a March 15 court date.
Gabriel Gil Montano, 30, 690 Judson, Carbon Hill, was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage about 3:15 a.m. Sunday on Dresden Road.
Deputy Josh Slattery reported he saw Gil Montano driving out of his lane on Dresden, south of Duckpond.
He reported Gil Montano appeared intoxicated. A check showed his license was suspended.
Also charged with DUI, Gil Montano posted $300 bond and was given a March 15 court date.
