A MORRIS man was arrested on several charges, including DUI, about 7:20 p.m. Thursday, March 4 on Twilight Drive.

Nicholas Winchester, 29, Morris, was charged with aggravated battery, DUI, illegal transportation of liquor, resisting police, threatening a public official and squealing the tires on his vehicle.

Winchester was taken to the county jail and held for a court appearance.

Morris police stopped Winchester for squealing the tires on his vehicle.

In talking to Winchester, officers determined he appeared intoxicated and saw he had open liquor in the vehicle.

When they attempted to take Winchester into custody, he resisted, made threats and struck an officer.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers
