Step By Step Child Care Center will participate in the Week of the Young Child, April 12-16. The theme this year is “Early Years Are Learning Years.”

Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families. It also aims to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

NAEYC recognizes that the early childhood years (birth through age 8) lay the foundation for children’s success in school and later life.

The Week of the Young Child is a time to plan how we will better meet the needs of all young children and their families.

Step By Step has many activities planned for this week, such as a balloon launch, a parents day and community leaders reading to the children.

If community members would like to participate in any way, please contact Kim or Lori at Step By Step at (815) 941-1122.

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
