Uneven shoulder causes I-80 crash

A COLFAX semi-trailer truck driver was transported to Morris Hospital today after a single vehicle crash on Interstate 80 east of Marseilles.

Michael D. Peterson, 52, was headed east on the interstate when the 2000 Freightliner tractor and trailer left the roadway in a construction area with a shoulder dropoff, Illinois State Police, District 17, noted.

The uneven shoulder caused the semi-trailer to go into the ditch, then come back onto the roadway where it rolled over.

MLB preview: Detroit Tigers
