Servpro working hard to help We Care

Servpro, a fire and water restoration company serving the Frankfort, Morris and Ottawa areas, has established collection banks throughout Grundy County.

All proceeds from these collection banks will go to We Care Grundy County, an organization that not only has a network of food pantries, but also offers an one-time bill assist program.

We Care gives thousands of meals to families throughout Grundy County each year.

“With the economy the way it is, any help, like what Servpro is doing, is going to greatly assist us, especially since the holidays are getting near,” said Denise Gaska, executive director of We Care of Grundy County.

Green-colored collection banks in the shape of a house are on counters at businesses, restaurants and insurance offices throughout the county.

The money will be collected after the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Servpro and We Care both help households after a disaster strikes,” said Tim Meske, owner of the Morris/Ottawa Servpro franchise. “We handle a fire or water damage, but We Care assists the unemployed or those behind on mortgage payments.”

If you would like to make a donation of money or food, visit We Care at 520 W. Illinois St. in Morris.

Volunteers are always welcome as well.
