Louise C. Weppler

Mrs. Louise C. Weppler, 97, of Morris, formerly Ottawa, Ill., passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2010, in her home with her loving family by her side.

Born April 10, 1913, in Evansville, Ind., Louise was the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Duffy) Zeller. She received her education in Ottawa at St. Columba Elementary School, and graduated from St. Xavier Academy with the class of 1931.

Louise married Henry Weppler in January 1967 in Morris.

She was employed as the bookkeeper for Prafcke Plumbing in Ottawa for many years. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Morris.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Beguin of Highland Park, Ill., and Marge (Ray) Flint of Bedford, Texas; one son, William (Janice) Pleskovitch of La Salle, Ill.; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and give step-children, Rebecca (Jerry) Haven of Peoria, Ill.; Mary (Dan) Pierce of Texas; Kathleen Matteson of Kingsford, Texas.; Judy (Don) Trejo of Morris and John Weppler of Clearwater, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank her grandson, Paul Dahlem, and his partner, Linda, for their loving care shown to Louise these past few years.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry, who died Jan. 29, 1990; three sisters; and her step-daughter, Nancy Higgins, who died May 21, 1992.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Church, 516 E. Jackson St., Morris, until the time for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Edward J. Howe will officiate.

Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
