Lillian E. Jacovec

BRAIDWOOD, Ill. - Mrs. Lillian E. Jacovec, 89, of Braidwood, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Morris Hospital.

Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Baltimore, Md., Lillian was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Bocek) Vojik.

Lillian married Albert Jacovec in 1944 in Baltimore. Soon after, they moved to Braidwood.

Lillian was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood, and she was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved to read and enjoyed taking long walks.

Survivors include two sons, Albert (Joanne) Jacovec of Raleigh, N.C., and Robert (Jean) Jacovec of Coal City; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jacovec, on April 20, 1974; and two brothers, Joseph and Albert Vojik.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, from the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd, Braidwood chapel, to the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Danilo Soriano will officiate.

Visitation will precede services from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to the Immaculate Conception Church.
