The fallout from a reckless ride down a main street in Minooka appears to be near the end of its road.
An Oswego man who was caught going 105 mph in a 45 mph zone was found guilty in circuit court Monday of driving under the influence.

Brandon S. Rompa, 24, was sentenced to 24 months court supervision, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service, fined, and ordered to attend the Victim Impact Panel.

Four other charges, including speeding more than 40 mph over the speed limit, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper traffic lane usage, and illegal transportation of alcohol, were dismissed.

Rompa was pulled over at 1:04 a.m. Sept. 22, 2010, after Minooka police clocked his black 2008 Honda traveling 60 mph over the speed limit. At the time, he was heading westbound on Mondamin Street and was pulled over near Bob Blair Road.
