ROAD CONDITIONS played a role in a rear-end collision that occurred in Morris.

James R. Haven Jr., 51, of Rockville, Ind. was slowing down for a vehicle in front of it that was turning into a driveway. James S. Glade, 29, of Sheridan, Ill., saw Haven braking and applied his brakes, as well.

Due to the icy road conditions and the downward slope of the road, Glade was unable to stop. He continued to slide while braking and struck the back end of Haven's vehicle.

No injuries were reported. The front bumper of Glade's vehicle and the back end, bumper and driver side tail light of Haven's vehicle were damaged.

Both vehicles were able to pull into an empty parking lot before Morris police officers arrived.

Do you support Morris' decision to allow video gambling in city establishments?

Yes. It's an opportunity to raise needed funds.
No. This sort of activity should be kept out of the community.
I'm undecided on this issue.
