Shirley Mae Kasher

BRAIDWOOD, Ill. — Mrs. Shirley Mae (Koca) Kasher, 84, of Braidwood, Ill., passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill.

Born Dec. 22, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Joseph and Emily (Kratochvil) Koca, Shirley served as rrustee of Reed Township from May 1969 to April 1982, and as Reed Township Clerk from May 1982 to August 2009.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Council of Catholic Women, both in Braidwood, and the American Legion Koca Post #39 Women’s Auxiliary in Braidwood.
