Fairbury man accused of Pontiac arson
PONTIAC (MCT) — A Fairbury man has been arrested in connection with a fire set in a trash bin.
Dustin P. Moser, 21, faces charges of arson, felony criminal damage to property and a parole violation, according to the Pontiac Police Department.
Major Jim Woolford said police were called to Pontiac Junior High School about 11 p.m. Friday about a fire near the northeast corner of the building.
During their investigation, police found a cellular phone used to place a 911 call reporting the fire, as well as a portable scanner, a number of cellular phones and a two-way radio.
Police continue to investigate the fire and any connection to radio pranks at Pontiac Township High School on Jan. 5.
