Oh Lord...a shot clock would absolutely help high school basketball! Right now, these teams get a 5 point lead in the 4th and hold the ball. Teams start fouling early to prevent the clock from running down and it's no longer a basketball game, it's a free throw shooting contest. Besides, who the heck wants to watch a Varsity basketball game where the final score is 38-35? BORING! If you don't force people to make shots, they won't. Maybe if there was a shot clock, kids would actually learn how to shoot the ball instead of just driving to the basket every time. Stalling is lame...play the game. |
