COAL CITY — Barbara T. Bergera, 93, of Coal City, formerly of Braidwood, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born July 21, 1918, Barbara was the daughter of the late Anton and Mabel (Sayers) Buberle. She married her husband, Anthony L. Bergera, on June 4, 1938, in Braidwood.

Barbara was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. She thoroughly enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

Surviving include three daughters, Tonita (late Richard) Koslowski of Braidwood, Charlotte (Gary) Morris of Gardner, and Linda Clark of Coal City; seven grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Goldsmith, Christine (Rob) Horton, Nick Morris, Penny (Robert) Hague, Marnie (Jay) Garcia, Les Case and Kevin Lerch; 12 great-grandchildren, Jedd and Jillyan Morris, Harrison, Corbin and Lilly Goldsmith, Ella Horton, Andrew, Emma, Anna, Lilly and Mary Hague, and Jagger Garcia; special sister, Anne Craterfield of Coal City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony L. Bergera, who died Feb. 23, 1994; daughter, Pat Bergera, who died in November 2003; sister, Lillian Monferdini; and three brothers, Chuck, Tom, and Emil Buberle.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorial services will be held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel. Rev. John Hornicak will officiate.

Visitation will be one hour preceding services.

Inurnment will be private at a later date.
