Bishop Conlon goes to St. Paul

JOLIET — St. Paul the Apostle School welcomed Diocese of Joliet Bishop Daniel Conlon to a special school Mass January 10.

After Mass, Bishop Conlon toured the classrooms and visited with students.

Bishop Conlon was installed in July 2011. He succeeds Bishop J. Peter Sartain, who was installed as archbishop of Seattle in 2010.

Conlon was previously bishop of the diocese of Steubenville, Ohio.

The Diocese of Joliet includes more than 655,000 Catholics throughout seven counties and is currently comprised of 54 elementary schools, seven early childhood education centers, and seven high schools.
