Author to host tea party

UTICA — Author Sandra McCone will give a presentation during a Valentine Fairy Tea Party on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort in Utica.

McCone is the author of a new children’s series called “The Three Little Lasses.” The series will consist of 5 books. She targeted the age group of 4-9, planning on the readers growing along with the series. In each book, the reading level will increase, along with the content, as the lasses and laddie take on new magical adventures consisting of Irish myths and stories.

The Celtic wheel of the year festivals and celebrations are experienced in each book with Nana explaining to the children their importance and meanings. And always a little Irish magic is tossed into the mix.

McCone’s writing explains how important it is to spend time with family, learning about your heritage and stories about your family. The knowledge gained and retained is what will carry on your family legacy and stories to tell your children and grandchildren.

McCone says that each book will draw you into its magical world and have you wondering what next exciting adventure awaits them as well as yourself.

McCone grew up in the 1950s in the Midwest railroad town of Galesburg, Ill.
