A Morris motorist told police she was having problems with her brakes just prior to colliding into the back of another vehicle.

Alyce C. Applebee, 24, of Seneca, told Morris police she was stopped in traffic on Bedford Road waiting to turn left onto Division Street, Thursday, Feb. 2, when her vehicle was struck from behind by Kaitlin M. Henley, 17, of 1235 Wauponsee St., Morris.

Henley told police she had been having some issues with her brakes and as she came up behind Applebee. She was unable to get her vehicle to stop before the collision occurred.

Minor damage to both vehicles was reported.

Yes. It's an opportunity to raise needed funds.
No. This sort of activity should be kept out of the community.
