FAIRFIELD BAY, Ark. — Mrs. Lois Malfatti, 84, of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and formerly of Morris, Ill., was called home Sunday morning, Feb. 5, 2012, at Conway Regional Hospital, Conway, Ark. She died of natural cause. 

Born Nov. 10, 1927, in Morris, Lois was the only child of John and Ruth (Flatness) Nelson. She married George Malfatti Sr. in 1953. They resided in Morris until 1985, and they then moved to Bartlett, Ill. In 1993, they retired and moved to Fairfield Bay, Ark.

She is survived by three sons, Stephen of Colorado, George Jr. of Illinois, and John of Conway, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris and fellowshipped with Cornerstone Evangelical Church in Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, on Oct. 29, 2009.

The family will hold private memorial services. She and her husband donated their bodies to University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Research Studies.
