Warrant issued in wake of October overdose

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on the 300-block of Boulder Hill Pass in Oswego for a male subject who was unresponsive, Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 22-year-old man, Brian Castle, of Oswego, who was partially responsive. Located near Castle was an item of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies believed Castle had overdosed on heroin.

Kendall County detectives conducted an investigation into the incident and Castle admitted to them he overdosed on heroin he had purchased.

The drug paraphernalia was analyzed and tested positive for heroin.

A Kendall County warrant was issued Thursday, Jan. 5, for Castle for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a call A misdemeanor, with 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.

Castle turned himself in to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office where he posted bond, Friday, Jan. 20.
