Rear-end collision on Division Street reported Friday

Debra J. Connelly, 53, of Lemont, Ill., told Morris police she was stopped in traffic in the east, northbound lane on N. Division Street, south of the eastbound Interstate 80 ramp, Friday, Feb. 3.

As traffic began to move, she was struck from behind by Laurie N. Woosley, 34, of 804 E. Main Street in Morris.

Woosley told police she was traveling northbound on Division Street behind Connelly.

When traffic started to move, she looked into the rearview mirror for a moment and then saw Connelly was stopped.

Woosley applied her brakes, but slid into the rear of Connelly’s vehicle.

Woosley’s vehicle sustained front end damage and Connelly’s sustained rear end damage.
